Food Stamp Outreach Worker Express Stamp Program Volunteer
NIFB is in search of committed, friendly people who want to make a
difference in the lives of people without enough money to purchase food for
themselves or their families. Be part of a national pilot project designed to
increase access to the food stamp program and to simplify the process.
Volunteers will:

Receive
comprehensive training from NIFB and the Illinois Department of Human Services
to include use of the computer internet system, the application process, the
project goals and an overall understanding of the benefits of the federally
funded food stamp to a hungry family or individual.

Work
directly in food pantries assisting individual pantry clients complete an
on-line application for food stamps.
Volunteers
