On May 1, 2008, Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB) hosted its 10th Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner – Celebration of Caring X. The evening was spent with nearly 250 of the dedicated volunteers that help make feeding our hungry neighbors in northern Illinois a reality! NIFB honored volunteers for their years of service and dedication to the cause.  Guests enjoyed a fun-filled evening at Pheasant Run in St. Charles with door prizes, a magician, and a sit-down dinner.  Thank you to Deacon Larry Stratton of Christ Community Church in St. Charles for leading the invocation, Kathy Blair, Manager of Giving DuPage - DuPage County Department of Community Services, for serving as the guest speaker, and Kane County Sheriff Patrick Perez for introducing the Inspirational Service Awards.
